Out in the Corps Land
We took Cali and Momma Horse out back into the corps land for a long trail ride. Sugar was thoroughly relieved when we returned.

The Fence Is Done, Dude!
Today, finally, the large turnout is finished, and I can move the horses in! Here’s the filly and her momma running around in all the space. You can see the two grays in the arena wondering why they didn’t get to move in yet. I pulled them in just after the video.

Dentist Day
Our favorite equine dentist came today, and all the horses, except the filly, had their teeth done. It turns out the mustang is a total anesthesia lightweight. Cali was chilling quietly after her appointment, much like she was before it. Momma Mare had some seriously sharp points, and I’m so relieved she had her teeth…

Sugar’s First Trim
Sugar had her first visit with a farrier today. She did pretty well for a filly. The farrier was amazing. He kept at it and got all four feet done. Momma mare was right there the whole time to be sure the filly was ok. She had her feet done, too.

Finally, got the first paddock built and the Quarter Horses have moved in to the space. They are really loving it because they have so much more room to run around than they had in the round pen.

The lightweight panels I ordered last week are here, and we’ve started building a round pen and a temporary paddock to house the mares until I get real accommodations figured out.
